When we launched the P4 website a couple weeks ago, there were three "featured poems" already in our archive. We'd used these three pieces (Gabrielle Bouliane, Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz, and Scott Woods) to test out the functionality of our Featured Poem section on the website.
Today, we're proud to have posted our first REAL featured poem! Rick Lupert's "On My Eventual Death" (Courtesy of the IndieFeed Performance Poetry Channel) goes up live tonight, and will be on our site for the next week.

Going forward, we hope to have a new poem every week to share with you! But in order to make that work, we're going to be encouraging each and every poet who is interested in having their work captured and preserved through P4, to create an account at our website. You can browse the site without an account, but you have to be a registered user in order for us to consider you for a spot as a Featured Poet.
And why would you want to have an account with us? Well, besides the opportunity to be a featured poet, here are some of the benefits:
- You'll be able to create an updatable Poet Profile, including your bio, photo, and a link to your website. This will allow users to quickly find you from our site
- As we bring your recordings into the site for preservation, we'll be able to display this information to people who are browsing or listening to your work
- You will be able to create a default permission level, to grant P4 the permission to expose your poetry that works best for you
- You'll be the first to know about all the new and exciting developments here at P4! We're very early in this project, and we're just scratching the surface of what we will be able to do, as we capture and preserve the first 25 years of the Poetry Slam movement.
Thanks for joining us on this journey, and contact us if you have any questions...
