Chapbooks, Chapbooks, CHAPBOOKS! Thank you Allison Durazzi!

When we started P4, we were so focused on gathering audio and video recordings that we admittedly ignored a huge resource of slam history:  CHAPBOOKS!  Who would have thought that the number of chapbooks we have now collected would now log in at over 500???

This latest batch is courtesy of Allison Durazzi, who recently sent us a wonderful collection of materials, mostly from the Pacific Northwest.  There are some real treasures in here, including collections by the 1998 and 1999 Seattle Slam Teams, Vox Populi Anthologies from 2000 and 2001, and lots and lots of individual chapbooks.  All in all, Allison's donation to P4 constitutes 58 Books and Chapbooks, 2 Zines, 5 CDs!

If you have a collection of materials that document the history of the poetry slam, drop us a line!  We're dedicated to collecting, preserving, and making available as much material that showcases this unique artistic movement as we possibly can.  Just drop a line to our Executive Director, Wess Mongo Jolley, at mongo@poetrypreservation.org.
